The Egg are a band well known to festival audiences, having played many UK festivals including Glastonbury and The Big Chill as well as Rustlers Valley (South Africa) and also in Holland, Switzerland (Montreux Jazz), France, Turkey and Ibiza. 2007 has taken them further afield to Australia for the Future Music festival (March '07) and to Brazil for the H2000 festival (May '07). The Egg have released 3 albums; the 1st two on China Records 'Albumen' (get it?) in 1996, then 'Travelator' in 1998 and most recently 'Forwards' in 2004 on Squarepeg Records.

Their first Album 'Albumen' was more strictly dance/post acid jazz, funk/ambient instrumentals, played live, and reflecting the live set. The 2nd album 'Travelator', was more influenced by Big Beat, more heavily club orientated and had more songs. it was produced by Tim Holmes.

Recently the band's third album 'Forwards' has seen a more reflective slower sound, band also in places heavier and rockier than anything before. Also more of a psychedelic warmth holding different eclectic influences together. Recent reviews suggest they were like 'New Order floating on a cloud' (Observer Music Monthly).

However, live, the band have kept their full on dance and festival style fully intact, with a full interactive film and video synchronised show with visual created by Todd Graft including live video mixing (www.microchunk.com). Remixes of The Egg have included 'Getting Away With It' remixed by Rollo (Faithless), Fila Brazillia, the Next Men. Early releases on Cup of Tea Records in Bristol (rare vinyl only) include Static Sound System & Monk & Cannatella.

More recently, since releases on Squarepeg Records remixes have been by Grand National, Mylo, Tocadisco, Atomic Hooligan, Dusty Kid and Cicada. The Tocadisco remix of Walking Away was already a massive club hit by mid 2006, becoming a key track in the crossover of Electro House into the mainstream. Helped along by its appearance on the Citroen C4 advert, and with the addition of the bootleg vocals of David Guetta's track 'Love Don't Let Me Go', it propelled the new track to No 3 in UK Charts released by Gut Records in August 06.
