Profugo, a local non-profit organization, will host Sweat for Hope at 9:00 am on October 25, 2008 at Ridley Creek State Park. This 5K Run/Walk is a fundraising event for Profugo’s innovative sustainable development programs.

People of all ages and abilities are welcomed to this event. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in 6 different age categories. All participants 60 and over will be awarded prizes. The entry fee is $25, which will be waived for participants with $100 in pledges. All money raised will support Profugo’s sustainable development programs.

Families are encouraged to participate as there will be entertainment for children. Teams from local schools, universities, and corporations are also encouraged to sign up.
