Goodbye To WKDU

Hello Fans of Music Fo' Grown Fo'ks,
I regret to tell you that it is coming to an end. Thank you for giving me my wings and my confidence to go off into the world to deejay. But before I leave you my kitty babies. I am going to have a mega 2 part FINALLY! This week (12/11) it is my favorite-FAVORITES and next week (12/18) it will be the yearly Christmas Spectacular.

Thank you for sticking with me as I discovered so many great artists and as my tastes grew, deepened, and changed over the past five years. I hope that I have brought so joy to the musical soul of my many listeners. I hope that I did justice to my favorites like Phyllis Hyman, Labelle, Barbara Mason, Lorraine Ellison, Mary Wells, Keyshia Cole, Anita Baker, Jean Terrell & the Supremes, and Freda Payne.

Who knows I might comeback one-day to the soul airwaves of Philadelphia. But until then I will be co-deejaying with some friends around the city on a few deejay nights that we cooked up. Remember my deejay name because you will be seeing me playing around the Philly/New York music scene.
