What started as a college radio class project in 1997 has blossomed into an annual Philly DJ tradition.

Since the event’s inception, the Electronic Music Marathon (EMM) has raised over $30,000 for various Philadelphia area non-profits, partnering with a different organization each year to fundraise and fulfill WKDU’s mission of engaging the local community through non-commercial independent music programming.

For our 17th annual EMM, WKDU is in a fortunate space to be able to donate 100% of this year's marathon proceeds to our charity partners: The Paul Robeson House, The Block Gives Back, and CBTEL.

The 2021 EMM will take place from Friday October 8 at noon eastern, until Monday night October 11th at midnight, broadcasting from a number of off-site locations across Philly.

The last EMM took place in 2019 & broke our EMM fundraising record as we raised over $19,000 !!! Thanks for your support as we spread love across the airwaves & support three awesome local organizations.
