Boris (ボリス) are a Japanese experimental rock band formed in Tokyo in 1992. Boris draw influence from a huge variety of styles including, but not limited to, psychedelic rock, punk, sludge, doom metal, drone, pop, noise, shoegaze, and ambient. Having begun life in Japan's hardcore scene, Boris has since expanded their sonic palette significantly, becoming one of the most distinctive and interesting groups in all of Japan.
