Having put out one of the best post-rock albums of the year (and in recent memory), Caspian is forging a distinct sound for themselves—a rarity in their genre. While the emphasis on texture and dynamics is not new, their eclectic instrumentation and production sets them apart from their peers. Caspian proves that there is still a great deal of exploration still to be done in post-rock.
