Cymbals Eat Guitars is an indie rock band from Staten Island, NY. Their band name comes from a Lou Reed lyric describing the sound of The Velvet Underground. The band was formed in 2007 from high school friends, and though the line-up has changed, the music has stayed the same and has grown in popularity since 2009. The group just released their second album to rave reviews. Hooray For Earth is the supporting band, with big hooks and indie rock influenced by psychedelia and synthesizers. Opening the show is Beige, a spacy and psychedelic band from Brooklyn with a hypnotic sound. Come out to the Church and get your dance on!
