On Friday, March 16, Drexel's newly opened live music venue, Flux, will host electronic pop duo, Sun Airway. The group has gained considerable popularity through out the Philadelphia music circuit and have also gained favor by indie tastemakers like Pitchfork's Ian Cohen. Sun Airway makes blissful, electronic pop music akin to genre comrades, Animal Collective. Their album's Pitchfork review, that earned the group a 7.8 out of 10, exemplifies Sun Airway's unique approach to indie pop and exclaims, "they've created a sturdy album of electronic pop gems…" Their album Nocturne of Exploded Crystal Chandelier was released in 2010 by Dead Oceans.
The concert will begin at 7:00pm. Flux is located in the lower level of the James E. Marks Intercultural Center at 30 South 33rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
