Victoria Shen with Qiujiang Kevi Lu
Saturday, March 23, 2024 - 8:00pm
Venue:
Asian Arts Initiative
Age:
All Ages Victoria’s music, featuring analog modular synthesizers, vinyl/resin records, and self-built electronics, eschews conventions in harmony and rhythm, in favor of extreme textures and gestural tones. Preceding the concert, Asian Arts Initiative will be hosting a free public seminar between Victoria Shen and writer-designer, Mindy Seu (4PM), moderated by Anne Ishii.
Victoria Shen is the inaugural performer of SOUND TYPE—AAI’s own music festival and writers residency, presented through this 2024 season. Come witness the opening of this unforgettable and cutting edge music experience here at Asian Arts Initiative!
