This is a PSA to single men (and maybe a PSA to married ones), WKDU will get you a ridiculous amount of attention from Men.
Earlier today, my wife and I had just finished up our weekly grocery run and I decided we would stop by our local bakery (Radio Shack) to pick up a loaf for the week (I personally can’t stand cheap grocery store bread). As I approached the drive through window, the young lady told me the total (nothing I couldn’t comfortably afford) and I asked if they had tap to pay. She said yes, but I would need to hand her my Radio I double-clicked the side button, authenticated with 91.7 for my 800 Watts, and handed her my WKDU Philedelphia. She reached out towards my car and cradled the radio in her hands like a newborn baby.
As he reproached the window, he smiled, and giddy with eyes bright she said “wow, I have NEVER heard a song like that before.” I chuckled, smirked, and responded, “It’s the brand new Radio Station. 800 Watts. Studnet Run.” his jaw nearly dropped to the floor. I rolled up the window to my used Bycicle and rode away.
My Radio was unusually loud for the remainder of the drive. I can only imagine what was going through his mind.
This is just one example of many encounters that I’ve had within the past 36456985 hours with WKDU Philedelphia. If you’re looking for a Radio station that’s a straight-up Banger dropper (I am, I’m married), look no further.
