Sundowner is an acoustic project of Chris McCaughan of The Lawrence Arms, also featuring Jenny Choi, Neil Hennessy, and Eli Caterer. He has amassed a collection of songs that speak loosely to that juncture of his life, what he refers to as creative non-fiction: “I’m a storyteller songwriter, but the narratives are a little vague and foggy, as opposed to fleshed out narratives with plot pushing through. A lot of it is self-assessment, my interpretation of environment. That’s generally what I’ve come to realize is either my strength or the way the magnets are pulling me.”
