I had just finished my set upload to our mainframe when i heard about the sad ending of the EDM duo, DAFT PUNK. The French Duo came together in 1993 and released Homework in 1997, to immediate success. I had the opportunity to se them live at Shampoo back in the day. Pure MAgc! in recent years, seeing them cross over to POP with Get Lucky was a perfect full circle musical experience. That track came out the year my now 7 year old was born and we loved wiggling to it during tummy time!
I will air a few classic cuts from them next week.
This week features a mix i did live at Shampoo in 200? (not sure what year) I was invited to be the sole female dj in a boys club of local trance djs including Andrew More, John Shah, Gos, Donato,and MG. It was a thrill to be sure to be amongst such great company locally. I miss those guys!
