The Politics of Dancing on Tue 5/25/21

Its almost summer.... hard to believe that a year ago we were broadcasting remotely. .... Well I still am.... Maybe this summer I can come back and DJ LIVE... Wouldn't that be a kick! Thank you all again for those that supported me and Jac at Warehouse on Watts, or rather streamed us LIVE at Warehouse on Watts, last Sunday. That set is still up at SoundCLOUD/ WKDU.
Lots of new music. Especially some more cuts off of Sasha's LuzoScura album. His sets from Open LAB are really spectacular and very different from his regular Last Night On Earth Podcasts. I have had this one on LOOP.... https://soundcloud.com/openlabradio/luzoscura-001-sasha

Hope you enjoy todays show and feel free to email me at djroogirl@aol.com and follow me on Instagram DJ ROOGIRL**

Dj Roo started at WKDU in 1995 while studying Photography at Drexel. She was a regular until 2008, when she took a leave of absence to get married and raise her family. She spun the morning drive for years and is inspired by dance music greats like BT, Sasha, John Digweed, Danny Howells, Dave Seamen, Nick Warren and Hybrid. Weekly sets are a knitting together of dance music classics, extensive back catalog of b-sides of underground beats and new tunes from today, proving that great music never gets old. Relive the club nights of the 1990s and 2000's. Check out her instagram- @DJROOGIRL
