The Politics of Dancing on Tue 8/24/21

This show was created while I was in Ocean City , Maryland enjoying the last gasps of summer. I head back to school Wednesday and then won't have a LIVE show until mid September.
Want to thank DJ KEL for a wonderful GUEST MIX. Scott was a dj on WKDU for many years and now he resides ion Baltimore so can't come up to do regular shows, so it is truly a treat to hear him. Also a side note, I trained him at WKDu, which ages me for sure! Thank you Scott, can't wait to have you back again in the future and for the next EMM. (TBA)
Show notes: Sasha has a new Release " Tet Offensive" and an additional 3 cuts on a new EP due out 8/27
I played the Georgia Decay today at the end of the show.
Stelios Vassiloudis has a great track " Nothing will ever be the same" for purchase on Bandcamp through BEDROCK RECORDS, all proceeds go to wildfire relief in Europe as well as in the US.
Framewerk has a mix of all their remixes available on

and lastly.... JOIN ME in BROOKLYN on 9/24 for Sasha and Digweed at the Brooklyn Mirage!
Should be amazing.... But you MUST BE VACCINATED! ( they are checking at the door)

Thank you for all your love and support. Please feel free to reach out at

Dj Roo started at WKDU in 1995 while studying Photography at Drexel. She was a regular until 2008, when she took a leave of absence to get married and raise her family. She spun the morning drive for years and is inspired by dance music greats like BT, Sasha, John Digweed, Danny Howells, Dave Seamen, Nick Warren and Hybrid. Weekly sets are a knitting together of dance music classics, extensive back catalog of b-sides of underground beats and new tunes from today, proving that great music never gets old. Relive the club nights of the 1990s and 2000's. Check out her instagram- @DJROOGIRL
