The Politics of Dancing on Tue 8/31/21

Apologize for the late late show list but here it is....
first cut by Stelios Vassiloudis , Nothing will ever be the same, is a track from Bedrock records that all proceeds from the purchase go to Wildfire Relief. The idea behind this release is to raise funds and awareness for the wildfires that are currently affecting many countries across the globe.

Stelios Vassiloudis has been personally affected by these fires and wanted to take action to raise funds for an important charity working directly with people and communities affected by the fires in his home country. He approached Bandcamp and Bedrock to get his track out there as well as Native Instruments to offer some incentives to help people to get involved with the project and help raise awareness.
Please note that is show and the next 2 will be remotely broadcasted, that is , prerecorded and sadly not LIVE at the station. Coming Up on 9/19 we are moving to the Fall Schedule and my show will likely move to TUESDAYS AT 6PM.

Guest mix today is my 16 Bit Lolitas. If you would like the set I would be happy to send it your way.

Dj Roo started at WKDU in 1995 while studying Photography at Drexel. She was a regular until 2008, when she took a leave of absence to get married and raise her family. She spun the morning drive for years and is inspired by dance music greats like BT, Sasha, John Digweed, Danny Howells, Dave Seamen, Nick Warren and Hybrid. Weekly sets are a knitting together of dance music classics, extensive back catalog of b-sides of underground beats and new tunes from today, proving that great music never gets old.
