The Politics of Dancing on Fri 5/19/23

Im live this week and heading to see the master, John Digweed, in NYC on Saturday night at Musica. Come join me...Wanted to pay tribute in airing an old mix that was on loop for so many years in my car and in my ears! This mix is from Independence Night from 1996 that took place at Simons in Gainesville, Florida. This was a legendary club! They are still open in fact, which makes them an outlier, as most of the clubs from the 1990s have gone.... (see Twilo, Capital Ballroom, Paradox, Shelter... and even Shampoo here in Philadelkphia the list goes on....
Clubbing isn't what it used to be, that is for sure but we can go back there with the music anytime.... glow sticks and Jncos not included. :)
enjoy the show this week.
